When it comes to buying an above ground swimming pool many of us will take the easier cheap option and buy an intex easy set above ground swimming pool, yet for just a few pounds more you could buy an intex metal frame pool, which will offer you a far more robust solution and provide you with a pool that you could class as semi-permanent.
Whilst all you have to do to set up an easy set pool is to simply inflate a rubber ring with an air hose, to set up a metal framed pool does not take a lot more effort.
With a metal framed pool all you have to do is to clip together the metal frame and hang the pool liner from it. No screws, no bolts, just a simple idiot proof metal frame to clip together that provides support for the pool walls.
These intex above ground pools can be assembled by one person in just half a day, or even less if you have a friend to help assemble it. Likewise they can be disassembled just as quickly – all you have to worry about is emptying out the water.
Overall they are far more robust the easy set swimming pools, and unlike an easy set pool you can lift yourself out over the sides without the need for a ladder, which is virtually essential with an easy set pool to avoid spilling water everywhere when you are getting out of it.
You could even consider taking one on holiday with you if you are going on a camping holiday, particularly if you are going to stay in the same place for two or three weeks. These above ground pools will come in a bag that will easily fit in the boot of your car, even including the water pump and filter. (It is best however to check with the campsite owner first – they may charge you for the water to fill it).
Unlike an easy set pool a metal framed one will cope far better with a boisterous pool party, as water will have a lesser tendency to splash over the sides of the pool.
Indeed they are so sturdy that you can leave them up all year round, unlike easy set ones, which are best suited to Summer use. However like most above ground pools they are classed as temporary, which means that you are unlikely to need planning permission.
